With a long-standing legacy and deep-rooted heritage in commercial retail, Bailian Group owns three of Shanghai’s most iconic historical and cultural department stores—originally part of the renowned “Four Great Companies” on Nanjing Road—namely Shanghai Fashion Store (formerly Sincere), Wing On Department Store, and No.1 Department Store. Throughout its history, Bailian has also created numerous “firsts” in the development of China’s modern retail industry.
In recent years, Bailian Group has proactively responded to evolving retail trends, including digitalization, brand-driven development, community-based retail, and trend-led consumption. The Group has accelerated the transformation and innovation of its core retail business while enhancing operational efficiency. By expanding into emerging sectors such as fashion consumption, silver-generation (senior) consumption, and new retail convenience formats, Bailian has developed a series of new commercial landmarks and attracted hundreds of first-in-market and flagship stores.
At the same time, Bailian has continued to deepen its engagement with local communities, building 15-minute living circles to better serve neighborhood needs and meet the increasingly diverse demands of different consumer segments.
